Cultural Values

Whether articulated or not, every company has a set of core values.

Core Values

Whether articulated or not, every company has a set of core values. Those values — positive and limiting — form the culture that drives organizational behavior. The most successful high performing businesses show strong alignment between personal and organizational values. Employees whose personal values are in sync with corporate values are more satisfied and productive and tend to remain and grow within the company.

Core values — individual and organizational — can be measured and identified. When you use employees’ individual core values as the basis for defining organizational core values you guarantee alignment.

The strength of this process is that core values arise from the collective personal values of everyone in the company. This is not a directive from senior management it is a homegrown statement by the entire community.

Cultural Values Assessment

Our Cultural Values Assessment maps the values of your organization. We use survey methodology to determine individual personal values of members of your organization. Using a consistent list of values we ask employees to select values that best represent themselves. Using the same list of values we ask what values are seen in the current work environment. And finally we ask which values (from the same set) they would like to see demonstrated in the workplace.

Once we collect the data you do the work. You have three sets of values: personal values, current cultural values, and desired cultural values. Using personal and desired cultural values you define your organization’s core values. You can then compare them to current cultural values. Based on that result we develop a plan to get current core values aligned with you new defined core values.
